Proactive work

World Afro Day x Vogue

For millions of women, embracing natural afro-textured hair has never been easy - too often deemed unacceptable or unattractive. Vogue has long defined beauty and, in recent years, championed true representation beyond fashion. On World Afro Day, we want to partner with Vogue to empower people with afro hair to wear it naturally, and proudly.

Introducing: FROGUE.

*This project was loved by Edward Enninful, however sadly couldn’t be made due to legal reasons around changing the logo.

Cover Wrap

In the month of September, World Afro Day collaborates with the powerful voice of British Vogue to create a provocative and empowering cover wrap for the magazine's September issue. This distinctive cover wrap will be the first of it's kind, coinciding with London Fashion week and heroing a series of women who are fearlessly unapologetic about their natural afro hair, culture and identity.

OOH

On w/c commencing September 10th, we will launch FROGUE as an OOH campaign to coincide with the run up to London Fashion Week. We will take over high-end streets in London, Manchester and Birmingham as well as local communities like Brixton, Peckham and Tower Hamlets. Our call to action "Wear and share your fro with pride #WorldAfroDay" will encourage people across the UK and beyond to engage with World Afro Day and partake in the movement.
